Let me start by saying there is not a whole lot exciting about printers they all pretty much do the same thing and come in different form factors with slightly different features. The Epson Expression ET-2750 EcoTank Wireless Color All-in-One Supertank Printer with Scanner and Copier was a pleasure to use. Setup was easy, connectivity was convenient, and the print quality was what it should be for a printer of this caliber and the Epson Print Enabler smartphone app made mobile printing very easy.
The look of the all-in-one printer was very similar to others on the market so there were no real surprises here, I mean what can you really change about the way a printer looks. Some of the highlights however were the LCD screen, the easily accessible memory card slot and the very easy to see ink level indicator. The ink level indicator is by far the best visual feature of the printer. It is easy to see and easy to understand. This should go a long way towards eliminating times when you need to print something but are out of a certain color ink. This printer is also very economical in its ink usage which will further reduce this issue.
Talking about the ink use of the Epson Expression ET-2750, Epson claims it ships with “three years’ worth of ink” and can “Print up to 14,000 pages in black and 5200 pages in color”. Now I have not printed nearly this amount but from what I can tell the economical use of the ink seems very good. Ink is handled, not in standard ink cartridges but in high-capacity tanks which should reduce printing costs. The economical advancements in ink however do not diminish the print quality of this printer and you still get the beautify prints you would expect from a printer of this caliber. You can print beautiful photos or simple text documents and they look amazing.
For me the best feature of this printer is how easily it integrates with mobile devices. I very rarely use a computer as I do most tasks from a tablet or smartphone. The Epson Print Enabler App makes mobile printing very easy once the printer is set up on your network. This simplicity will most likely lead to me printing more which I am sure my eye doctor will appreciate since I will be reading things in a full-page size vs on my phone screen.
The Epson Expression ET-2750 is a great example of a connected printer that will certainly make my printing life a little bit easier and I hope that it lives up to its ink claims.
This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-2750 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
