One of the biggest advantages Amazon Alexa has over other voice assistant services is the amount of “Skills” available. There are skills from all kinds of companies and individual developers to do just about anything you can think of. But how many times have you needed Alexa to do something only to find that a skill was not available to do exactly what you wanted? I can say this has happened to me on a number of occasions that usually ended with my making a compromise and using a different readily available skill.
Well yesterday that changed with the release of Alexa Blueprints by Amazon. You can now create your own skill based on 20 Blueprints that Amazon has made available and the best part is no programming is required. Amazon has made Blueprints available on a nice online interface so you can pick the Blueprint you want to work from and enter in all your customized text.
